Denied for regionals
The four basketball teams we were paying close attention to Friday night all ended up falling in their respective sectional finals.
The Jacksonville boys fell to DH Conley in a competitive contest, the Northside boys lost to West Bladen, the Croatan girls fell to First Flight and the Southwest ladies lost to Red Springs.
On a side note: Congrats to South Lenoir and head coach Jimmy Smith for their upset over East Central 2-A Conference foe Clinton.
