Madness in the office

Chris Miller | General | Friday, March 21st, 2008

I’ll admit, it was pretty difficult keeping our focus on work on Thursday.

It was the first day of the NCAA basketball tournament and one game in particular directed most everyone’s attentionĀ that night.

Several surrounded the television to see if Duke would get upset by Belmont and to the disappointment of many the Blue Devils managed a 71-70 victory, thanks to a game-winning layup in the final seconds.

Oh what could have been.

While we didn’t have the same type of eagerness later in the evening, eyes were still glues to the TV for the remaining games. The NCAA tournament, especially the first two days, is exciting and it’s something that brings folks together.

I just hope for a similar type of excitement for the rest of the tourney.

Oh yeah, here are my final four picks: North Carolina, Georgetown, Texas and UCLA with the Bruins topping the Hoyas in the championship game.
